RETIREMENT PLANS

Distributions from a Retirement Plans often have a major income tax cost, leaving only a net balance to your beneficiaries.  Many donors leave retirement plan benefits to charitable causes they care about so all the funds can be put to good use.

You may wish to name “Bais Menachem Chabad Inc” as a beneficiary of your retirement plan. This can be from your company’s qualified pension or profit-sharing plans, IRAs, 401ks, Keogh Plans and others which are subject to both estate and income taxes.

You can leave some or all of your plan benefits to Bais Menachem Chabad; much like you would with a Life Insurance policy. This outstanding gesture gives the Jewish community a substantial donation at a minimum cost to your family.

How you can make Bais Menachem Chabad a Retirement Plan Beneficiary

  • Request a beneficiary change form from your retirement plan administrator and name “Bais Menachem Chabad Inc” as a beneficiary of some or all of the proceeds.

  • You can continue to take withdrawals during your lifetime.

  • You can always change your beneficiary if circumstances change.

  • This gift can avoid Federal income taxes.

  • This gift is easy and can be done at no cost.

  • Avoid the low payout of some IRAs, which sometimes pay your children 30 cents on the dollar, with a generous donation to Bais Menachem Chabad.

  • Bais Menachem Chabad will receive 100 percent of your gift to encourage Jewish continuity.
